💌 **Behind the Lens | A New Journal Story**

Photography has always been about more than creating something beautiful to hang on a wall.

Sometimes a photograph can express gratitude, encouragement, love, or friendship. And when paired with a few handwritten words, it becomes something deeply personal.

My newest Journal article explores why I believe handwritten notes still matter in our increasingly digital world, and how that idea inspired a new direction for Peck Photography Art.

There’s something special about Maui’s west side.

From the beaches of Kāʻanapali to the rugged coastline of Kapalua, every stretch of shoreline seems to have its own personality.

Some of my favorite moments with a camera have happened here, often when I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary.

I've been spending time putting together a new photographic journey through this beautiful part of Maui, sharing some of the places and moments that have stayed with me.

I’ve been working on a small new puzzle series featuring three different wave photographs from Hoʻokipa Beach on Maui’s North Shore.

Breaking Blue • Shoreline Surge • Whitewater Thunder
Each one captures a different mood of the ocean, from deep blue rolling surf to heavy whitewater and shoreline movement. All three are made from my original Maui photography and are available in 520-piece and 1,014-piece puzzles.

I really like how they work together as a little collection — three moments from the same coastline, each with a completely different feel.

The puzzle mockup is made from AI for illustration purposes but the photograph is original and mine.
