Today I got to meet FOX 13's Charley Belcher, as he came out to do a live segment featuring our Polk County Women Mean Business group! 🎥✨

It was so cool getting a behind-the-scenes look at how he prepares for a live news segment and seeing our group and so many amazing women owned businesses get some well-deserved recognition!

If you were watching this morning, you may have even caught a glimpse of me doing what I love, capturing headshots of some of our beautiful ladies! 📸❤️

Definitely a morning to remember, and I'm so thankful to be part of a group filled with such amazing women supporting and encouraging one another in our community.

📸🍂 FRIDAY PHOTO TIP: COLORS MATTER!

Planning an upcoming photo session? Whether it's with ViolaMay Photography or another photographer, here's one tip that can make a HUGE difference in your final images:

Your outfit colors matter!

Take a look at this family. 👇 They aren't wearing identical outfits, but everything works together beautifully! Rust, burnt orange, olive green, camel, tan, and warm neutrals all complement one another AND the outdoor setting.

Notice the mix of solids, plaid, and a subtle floral pattern?
That's the goal coordinate, don't match! 🤎

For fall photos, think:
🍂 Rust & burnt orange
🌿 Olive or sage green
🤎 Camel, tan & chocolate brown
🍷 Burgundy
💛 Mustard
🤍 Cream & warm neutrals

Don't be afraid to mix colors, textures, and a couple of subtle patterns. When everyone's outfits complement each other without being exactly the same, your photos have so much more depth and personality.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported all of our amazing local vendors! ❤️ It was so lovely seeing everyone and watching all the kiddos leave with new bookbags, school supplies, and big smiles as they get ready for a new school year. 📚✨

Such an awesome day filled with community, families, and fun. I’m so thankful I got to be a small part of it! 🥰
