Rob Dougherty (Executive Director) and Cori Convertito (Board President) met with the City yesterday to present all of the incredible arch design options submitted. After thoughtful discussion with representatives from every invested department (and keeping HARC guidelines in mind), the design submitted by local artist Lucy Hawk and Kristyn Lamoia has been selected as the working draft.

Each design was carefully reviewed against the city’s recommendations, and while this is just a draft (with a few tweaks still possible for aesthetics and installation), it’s an exciting step forward in making sure the LGBTQ+ community and our allies are proudly represented.

Next up: we’ll be gathering as a group to talk about what’s next and how we can continue shaping this project together. Stay tuned as we continue our work to honor our history and move forward with strength.
