the most beautiful weather, an insanely talented team of vendors, and two people surrounded by so much love. truly, what more could you ask for on a wedding day?!🥂

but beyond all the pretty details (and trust me, there were plenty), it was the people who made this day so special.

the sweetest families that partook in the prep, the most wonderful couple, and a celebration that was just as beautiful to experience as it was to photograph!

days like these remind me how special it is to be invited into someone’s story and trusted to capture it all. feeling extra grateful to have been a little part of this one.

a little introduction (or reintroduction) to the girl behind the camera! 💌

hi, i’m yelena! the face behind calla photography, your unofficial dress fluffer, professional third wheel, and the girl who will probably crack a joke at some point during your session or your wedding day because life is too short not to?!?

i believe beautiful photos are important, but so is the experience that comes with them!

i want you to feel comfortable enough to laugh a little louder, be fully present in the moment, and maybe even forget for a moment there’s a whole camera pointed at you..

my heart has always been drawn to the moments that can and do happen naturally, but also to the posed ones because I’ve learned we’re all down for a vogue-inspired pose here & there 🪩

and when i’m not behind the camera, you can probably find me listening to an audiobook (I loveee a good audiobook), planning my next trip (or already on one), and drinking one of my two daily lattes because i’m pretty sure coffee runs through my veins at this point

somewhere between chasing the good light, fixing a stray hair, fluffing your dress, and laughing, my hope is that you walk away with more than just beautiful photos!

i want you to feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for

because your story deserves to be documented in a way that feels like you, and you deserve to have a really good time while we’re at it ✨

the goal has always been to do more than just show up with a camera! 🤍

whether that means sewing a dress, helping with shoes, fixing a timeline, or making sure every little detail is taken care of, I want my couples to know they have someone in their corner!

we have been waiting for this day for almost two years, and I just knew it was going to be a special one!

these two met on oahu during surfing lessons, and the rest is history.. basically at the greatest place ever haha! 🌴

the wedding was held at alexandra’s family home, which made the day that much more special

a home already filled with so many memories now holds the beginning of their forever!

family and friends traveled from all over to celebrate these two, and let me tell you, this was one easy group to photograph! the joy was contagious, the love was so evident, and it was clear just how much everyone adored our couple!🥂

I actually didn’t even realize I never posted some of my favorite headshots taken in the Grand Tetons (big thanks to Leigha Gray / Georgia Wedding Photographer 🫶🏼) ⛰️

this was such an eventful three days, filled with both the expected and the unexpected. but that’s the beauty of travel, right? haha

there was time for breakfast, coffee, tears, and photos. and then a nap, followed by some more photos.

Liz Arrieta | Atlanta Wedding & Elopement Photographer really took her time creating an experience, not just a styled shoot. her vision, titled “birds of the sky,” was so beautifully woven into every part of what she wanted to showcase.

the sessions were called—
birds of the sky.
in all your splendor.
lilies of the field.
my heavenly treasure.

all of it was a reminder of just how beautiful the places are that the Lord has created. and what a gift it is that we get to photograph, experience, and enjoy even a glimpse of His creation on this side of heaven 🕊️
