“Mindful”

I sat patiently watching a group of peafowl. Dozens peahen (females) roamed free across a field. Slowly looking for insects. The peacocks (males) stood proud. One ruffled his feathers and opened his train to gain attention. Some of the ladies walked toward him, others rushed by, but one ruffled her feathers back.

I love observing animals! It takes time and patience to capture the perfect moment!

The colors in this piece are so vibrant! They give off happy vibes. If you could see this piece in your home DM me! ✨

I feel so fortunate to live on an island! Being able to see the water every day makes me so happy.

Both of these images are of Alligator Lighthouse. One was taken on a sunny day the other was taken on a cloudy day. It is so incredible how different the images look! One is more vibrant while the other is pastel.

I feel so connected to the ocean. Being on the water brings me a sense of peace.

Do you feel a connection to the ocean?

“Honeybee”

I captured this bumblebee hovering beside a cluster beautiful flowers. The green foliage surrounding this little guy sets off a calming feeling.

Bees mean so to me

They remind me of someone I loved very much! 🤍🐝

Whenever I see one, a smile stretches across my face

Is there a place, an object or an animal that reminds you of a loved one?

Here are a few photographs that I have taken recently.

Wether it be a flock of flamingos strutting about, a lone lighthouse standing tall in the sea, a male peacock showing off his feathers or a stunning bridge from the Flagler Era, I find grandness in each subject. My images are simple but strong. They are quiet and elegant.

Which one is your favorite?

It was so sweet to see this bee hovering over the greenery. It would land on a flower every once in a while to collect nectar. Something as simple as an insect can encourage you to

slow down… be present… be aware 🐝

I am so happy when I am in nature! I am in my element when I get to photograph wild animals. ✨ Birds, especially, are so interesting. They gently glide through the air, looking majestic.

There are a variety of species here in the Florida Keys. I love going on the boat into the backcountry. We are always surprised as to what we will find. Sometimes we see great white heron, or flocks of white pelicans other times we see flamingos, and during a certain time of year, we get to observe spoonbills.

What is your favorite bird?

Carysfort Reef Lighthouse is located just off of Key Largo, FL. It is a beautiful red structure. It marks a gorgeous reef full of sea life! We saw so many turtles! I can imagine what it was like in the late 1800s when sailing between the east coast and the Bahamas was treacherous.

We went out on a beautiful day! The water was flat calm. There were barely any other boats. We saw flying fish and turtles everywhere! The water was a beautiful turquoise. Being on the water on a day like this makes me feel so happy

It was so much fun to photograph these interesting creatures! It is the height of mating season. The males are showing off!! They are displaying their elaborate feathers and shaking their entire bodies to hopefully catch the eye of a female.

Peacocks are naturally soothing to look at. The colors of their feathers and bodies are exquisite! The bright blues and greens put you in a relaxing state.

Imagine being on a boat in the middle of a bay. No other boats around.

Simple…

Quiet…

Calm…

Then you hear a breath of air and notice that there is a pod of dolphins near. Three of them swim around you, playing popping in and out of the water. I sat and waited, waiting for the perfect moment where all I saw was a tail out of the water.

This black and white photograph is exquisite!

Do you like dolphins?
