Summer light, Kodak Gold, and a Pentax 645N in Islamorada. ๐ŸŽž๏ธ๐ŸŒด

Robbieโ€™s has been part of the Keys story since 1976, and somehow it still feels like one of those places made for film.

The Florida Keys, one frame at a time. ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŽž๏ธ

A day on the water โ€” channel markers, dive boats, old boats, blue water and those everyday Keys scenes that are easy to pass right by.

๐Ÿ“ท Canon Elan 7
๐ŸŽž๏ธ Fujifilm Superia 400 + expired Kodak Ultramax 400

Two classic 400-speed films, each giving the Florida sun and Keys blues its own look.

Which frame is your favorite? ๐Ÿ‘‡

I caught sunrise at the Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado with my Nikon F100 and a roll of Kodak Ultramax 400 that expired back in 2015.

Cool mountain air, almost complete silence, beautiful early light โ€” and then a black bear wandered through the morning.

Definitely a different kind of sunrise from what Iโ€™m used to back home in the Keys, but there was something really peaceful about it.

Sometimes all you need is a camera, an old roll of film, and somewhere completely different.

The strangest landmark in the Florida Keys started with a hurricane and a toilet seat. ๐Ÿšฝ๐ŸŒด

After Hurricane Donna in 1960, Vernon Lamp found a toilet seat hanging from a post marking the shortcut heโ€™d carved through Florida Bay off Plantation Key. He painted it, put it backโ€”and Toilet Seat Cut became a Keys tradition.

Captured on Fujifilm Acros 100 with a Nikon F, introduced in 1959. ๐ŸŽž๏ธ

I recorded this in 1992 during Hurricane Andrewโ€”one of the most powerful and devastating storms ever to hit South Florida. More than 30 years later, this footage remains a chilling time capsule of a night none of us will ever forget. ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ“ผ

Key Largo showing off again. ๐ŸŒŠโ˜€๏ธ

Saturday afternoon at Dry Rocks with family, friends, flat seas and water so clear you could see the reef from the drone.

And somewhere below us โ€” the famous Christ of the Abyss.

This is what weekends in the Keys are supposed to look like.

Some days in the Keys donโ€™t need a plan. Just clear water, good company, and nowhere else to be. ๐ŸŒŠโ˜€๏ธ

12-year-expired Fuji Superia 200, a new zoom lens to test, and a boat ride through the Florida Keys. ๐ŸŽž๏ธ๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ

Not a bad way to forget about Monday.

Took the Canon Elan 7 out toward Card Sound, made a few stops along the way, and ended up at the one and only Alabama Jackโ€™s.

Then I loaded the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta for another roll. That oneโ€™s next. ๐Ÿ‘€
