Trends can be SO much fun, and if you love them, lean all the way in! But at the end of the day, your wedding should feel like YOU.

✨ Want the classic sparkler exit? DO IT.
✨ Want the reception outfit change? YES.
✨ Love colorful florals? Bring on the color!
✨ Still a neutral babe? Stay neutral.
✨ Found decor you absolutely LOVE? Get it.
✨ Need to work within your budget? Do that, too. Your wedding doesn’t have to be insanely expensive to be beautiful.

Because here’s the thing: you’re going to look at these photos for YEARS. You want to look back 10, 20, 30 years from now and still see yourself.

I still get butterflies waiting for the moment they drop to one knee. 🥹💍 The excitement, the happy tears, the “yes”… it’s something I’ll never get tired of witnessing. I’m so thankful this sweet couple trusted me to quietly hide in the roses and capture the very beginning of their forever. What an honor. 🌹

There is something so incredibly special about documenting the very beginning of a new life. 🤍

I had the honor of photographing my very first Fresh 48 session at Cone Health Women’s and Children’s Center in Greensboro, and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter family to share this milestone with. Even more special, this little guy belongs to one of my college friends and his wonderful wife. Welcome to the world, baby Andrew. 🩵

These first hours are filled with tiny details, sleepy snuggles, proud parents, and moments that pass by far too quickly. I’m so excited to be venturing into Fresh 48 photography and capturing these once-in-a-lifetime memories for growing families.

Thank you for trusting me with such a precious chapter of your story. I can’t wait to photograph many more of these beautiful beginnings.

Photography real talk. 📸

One thing I love to do during slower seasons is go back through old galleries and re-edit them. 🤯

People don’t always realize photography has two completely different parts. First, you take the photo. Then you spend hours behind the computer editing it. Every single year I get better at both.

Looking back at sessions from a few years ago is such a cool reminder of how much I’ve grown. My editing style has changed, I’ve learned so many new techniques, and sometimes an older session just deserves a fresh edit.

This bridal session was photographed years ago, but I gave it a whole new look with the style I’ve developed today. It’s fun to see how far I’ve come, and honestly, it makes me excited to see where I’ll be a few years from now. 🤍

Photographers, swipe to steal my reception motion blur settings 📸✨

Reception lighting can feel intimidating, but some of the best images come from leaning into the chaos. All day Brides and Grooms are perfectly posed with not a hair out of place. The reception is where they can finally cut loose and with that the approach to photography can change! This is where I stop chasing perfect horizons and clean backgrounds. Now we are looking to capture the feeling! Energy!

If you’ve never played with motion blur or dragging your shutter, I encourage you to give it a try!
