You know those moments you feel before you even process them? This was one of those.

Angela stepped onto the dance floor expecting one song… and instead, “When God Made You My Mother” started playing. The second it hit, she lost it. Brandon held her, and just like that, the entire place was in tears. (Yes… including me behind the camera 🥲)

Angela l adopted Brandon at just two weeks old, her very first baby. The first of five boys she would go on to love and raise as her own.

And if you didn’t know their story, you’d never guess. Because the way he looks at her? That’s his mom. Always has been.

Some moments aren’t just beautiful… they mean something deeper.

I’m still not over this one.

Okay, real talk for a minute. I’ve been doing photography since 2020. I’ve spent thousands on cameras and gear, set up tons of mini sessions, and replied to what feels like hundreds of inquiries. But even with all that, things just never got consistent enough to make it my full-time job.

I know I’ve got the talent, and I know I’ve got the passion, but the bookings never quite lined up with the effort I was putting in. So a couple months ago, I decided to go back to a regular job. Not because I’m quitting photography, but because I needed a little stability for now. My camera was never getting packed away anyway.

The other day, I was scrolling through my old shoots and realized I barely share most of my work. I’ve been so focused on having the perfect “Instagram look” that it’s stopped me from actually posting what I love. So I’m done with that. I’m just going to post what I want, when I want. No pressure. Just photos I’m proud of.

And honestly, I know I’m not the only one who’s felt this way. If you’re in that weird in-between stage with your passion, I get it. I’m still here, still shooting, and still booking sessions. Weeknights, weekends, weddings — whatever you need.

If you need a photographer, hit me up. I’m still out here doing what I love — just taking a little bit of the pressure off this time.
