HB197 allows the March 17, 2020 to be completed by absentee ballot by April 28th, 2020.

So please leave your signs out until then. I’m asking anyone with a small sign to keep to pit back out in October for the November General Election. If you don’t want to store or don’t have the space, we will gladly pick up for you:). Just message or call me at 330 349 3573.

Shawn is witty, determined and a sports enthusiast, living with Down syndrome. Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities has been his constant support, from teaching him to walk to his independent life today. They've made his journey incredible with vocational services and recreational opportunities.

Shawn's family is immensely thankful for the Board's unwavering support. The community's votes for Issue 29 are crucial to continuing the support of Portage DD. Vote “Yes” on Issue 29 and urge your neighbors to do the same.

Special Olympics is an activity that Portage DD funds offer individuals the chance to stay fit, compete at multiple levels, build teamwork and build lasting friendships. Portage DD provides a variety of sports teams: track and field, swimming, softball, volleyball, basketball, bowling, bocce, powerlifting, soccer, flag football and competitive cheer. So come on out and support these athletes who give their all in the Special Olympics!

Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities is committed to continuously collaborating with local providers to improve programming and services, such as URR or Hike Club. Renewing Issue 29 enables them to fund quality improvement initiatives, ensuring individuals receive the best possible care and opportunities. Your YES vote allows Portage DD to assist providers in implementing the newest methods and best practices.

Emily, a beneficiary of Portage DD's support, appreciates the opportunities it provides. Her favorite season is fall, and her family has a cherished tradition of raking a huge pile of leaves and dropping her into it. Thanks to Portage DD, she now has the support to live in her own home and create her own leaf-crunching adventures!
