Childhood looks a lot like this.
Bare feet in cold water.
Windblown hair.
A favorite shirt.
Getting distracted by something just outside the frame.

The moments that don't look posed are often the ones worth remembering most.
This is the kind of photography I love: photographs that feel like you, rather than photographs that look like somebody else's idea of a perfect family picture.

Summer is beginning its slow transition into fall. The sunflowers are bowing their heads, seeds are ripening, and another season is quietly coming to an end.
As much as I enjoy photographing wildflowers, I'm ready for crisp mornings, colorful leaves, and cozy sweater weather. How about you? Are you ready for autumn, or are you holding onto summer a little longer?
These were photographed just outside Moro, Oregon, as the last blooms began to fade.

Some places don't ask to be conquered. They ask you to slow down.
This little bend near the mouth of the Deschutes reminded me that wonder isn't always found at the end of a long hike. Sometimes it's tucked beneath a canopy of leaves, where cold water carries away the noise for a while.
That's the kind of place I hope I never stop noticing. 🌿

I spent most of my time in Alaska looking for the "big" moments.
Whales. Glaciers. Mountains.
But some of my favorite photographs ended up being the quiet ones.
Rain on an empty dock. Tiny flowers beside the trail. The everyday beauty that's easy to walk past.

I'm excited to share that there are some big changes coming!

Over the next few weeks, this page will be going through a bit of a refresh as I rebrand and shape it into the vision I've had for a long time. Along with family and portrait photography, you'll start seeing more of the landscapes, wildlife, forests, and quiet moments that inspire me whenever I pick up my camera.

If you've followed me for a while, thank you for sticking around. If you're new, welcome! I'm looking forward to sharing more consistently, telling the stories behind my photographs, and taking you along on future adventures.

This page has always been about capturing genuine moments and the beauty that often goes unnoticed. That mission isn't changing. It's just growing.

I'm excited for what's ahead, and I hope you'll come along for the journey.

Here are a few sneak peeks behind the curtain of things you will see soon! Keep in mind, these photos I'm showing you today are the raw, unedited real deal.
