It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved husband and father. For those of you that followed this page because of his art we are eternally grateful that he was able to share his love of nature with you through his photos.

Our resident artist Bruce McCurdy is our July artist of the month. His art is on display on the show wall, kicking off with today’s opening from 3:00-5:00.

Some info about Bruce:
His interest in photography started at an early age when his mother gave him a Kodak Brownie camera. His interest in birds, instilled by his mother, and the hunting, camping, and fishing trips with his father developed into a lifelong interest in the outdoors. He always carries a camera in order to record anything he might encounter during the day. Taking all that he had learned in high school of light composition and dark room techniques, he bought a newer camera and started the work at home. Hunting and fishing gave him a deep appreciation of the sights and sounds of nature and the opportunity to be outdoors much of the time. His main interest is wildlife and landscapes, so he spends as much time as possible in the field. “There is nothing more uplifting than watching waterfowl at dawn or dusk. Nor is there anything more beautiful than a sunrise or sunset. I try to reflect on these things in my photography. I enjoy just sitting and watching nature’s wonder as much when not looking thru a lens.”
