I had the pleasure to work on my first wedding as a photographer this past season! 📸
Previously, I’ve worked on weddings as a videographer but going into this year, I felt drawn to working with still images more. This came after realizing a couple things— one, I felt overwhelmed after working as a videographer/photographer/graphic media designer simultaneously for different clients. I felt like I wasn’t creating content to the best of my ability or investing enough time into one medium to really master and appreciate it. My attention was split. Second, I began to feel the most drawn to photography. I asked myself, “Which projects do I feel most satisfied after completing?” At the time, it would be after editing a package of photos for a client or friend.
Since most of my professional experience steamed from film and video work, so I knew it would be bit of a challenge shifting all of my attention to this one medium. I’ve really been enjoying it though! I feel more intentional going into my projects now, and leave them feeling fulfilled.
This wedding was especially fun— I got to work with an assistant who’s a great friend of mine. Also, I throughly enjoyed capturing a memorial day for this beautiful couple. Thank you Liz & Luke for trusting me as your photographer! It’s been a pleasure growing more as an artist and photographer through this experience.
