What a blessing it is to be your home 🤍

I snapped a new self portraits the other day because I realized I had no pictures of myself from this pregnancy. A combination of life just being busy, and feeling even more uncomfortable in front of the camera than I already do. But every time I look in the mirror I’m reminded of how incredible it is that God gave me the ability to give life. That he gave women the opportunity to grow and be a shelter for their children. We only get so many opportunities in life to go through this, and I want to remember every second of it.

If you’re a pregnant mama and are putting off any form of pictures because of the changes you see in the mirror - Please remember that your body is a miracle, and every change you go through is a testimony. So even if it’s just you and your phone in the living room, please make sure to document the time you spent bringing life into the world 🫶🏻

Policy update, please read 🤍

After a lot of thought and consideration, I’ve decided to update one of my business policies moving forward. From this point on, I will no longer post photos on my social media pages or website that clearly show the faces of children/minors under the age of 18.

While I have always received permission before sharing images, this has become a personal conviction that has weighed heavily on me for quite some time. With the rise of AI and the concerning ways images can be used online, I no longer feel comfortable publicly posting the faces of innocent children not knowing who will end up with them.

This was not an easy decision, especially because family and children’s portraits are such a large part of my business. I completely understand that people want to see examples of a photographer’s work before booking. But at the end of the day, the safety and privacy of your children will always matter more to me.

I will still share images that do not fully show faces - detail shots, back of head photos, silhouettes, etc. (always with parent permission, of course!)

I know people get really excited to see their photographer posting their pictures, so I hate to feel like I’m disappointing anyone. So if you don’t see me posting photos from your session, this is why (the other reason is that I’m terrible at social media 😂).

And if you’re interested in booking but are concerned with the lack of family or children’s work posted, please feel free to message me directly so we can chat about it! Thank y’all for understanding 🫶🏻

Hi friends! I need your help 🫶🏻

One of my biggest goals this year (specifically from now until August when my son is due) is to really pour as much time and love into my photography business as possible so that I can really start to grow.

One of the ways for me to do that is to have more Google reviews from my amazing clients! This helps my Google business page and website to pop up when people search for photographers here in the DFW/east Texas area.

So if you are one of my clients and have a few minutes of time, I would be so thankful if you left me an honest review on Google! You don’t have to share any of your images if you don’t want to, but it is an option if you’d like to show off a few of your favorites! (Direct link attached)

It’s officially senior season! If you are a senior or the parent of a senior, don’t forget to book those sessions asap 🫶🏻

Just a reminder that spring going into summer is usually a super busy time for photographers. So if you’re wanting pictures done (especially in time for grad announcements/invites) then the best time to book is NOW! 🎓❤️

Howdy friends! I know I have been worse than usual at posting (hard to believe it gets worse lol), but it is due to some very exciting news! My family is GROWING, and I am just about headed into my second trimester. 🤍🤍

The last two months have very honestly been miserable for me, which is why I have been even more absent. While taking care of my body and having a healthy pregnancy is my number one priority, I do have many things planned for Rising S this year! I am hoping that in the next couple of weeks I will start to feel better, and therefore be able to start leaning into work more. However, for now I am focusing on keeping myself and my family going, and staying on top of my 9-5. I can’t wait to start sharing more with you guys soon, though!

Thank you to everyone for always showing me love and support, and to those of you who have hung in there with me the last few months as I’ve been slower to respond to inquiries and deliver galleries. I can’t tell you how much your patience and understanding has meant to me. Love you guys! 🫶🏻
