There’s something so emotional about watching a mother look at her son on his wedding day. One minute they’re little boys with scraped knees, toy trucks, and tiny hands reaching for yours… and the next, they’re standing at the altar becoming someone’s husband.
As a photographer and as a mother those moments hit differently. I don’t just see the portraits; I see the years behind them. The bedtime stories, the school mornings, the sports games, the prayers whispered over them, the growing pains, and all the quiet moments that shaped the man standing there today.
Motherhood has given me a deeper appreciation for the moments I capture behind the camera. Because now I understand that photos are more than images — they are proof that time keeps moving, even when our hearts wish it would slow down just a little. 🤍
