I had the privilege of spending a day creating alongside my uncle, , , a craftsman in the truest sense. He has more talent in his pinkie toe than I could hope to gather in a lifetime 😆 and I left completely inspired.
In a world chasing quick results, he builds for the generations, creating places meant to last, to be lived in, loved, and passed down.
His company’s mission speaks for itself:
“To be entrusted with the creation of a home brings with it a solemn responsibility. Within the walls of these sacred spaces transpire some of life’s most important events, and holds for its inhabitants, many of their most important memories.”
We spent the day photographing and filming his process- the sketches, the studies, the quiet decisions, the way light and proportion guide his hand. Curating a visual record of his work felt less like a task and more like honoring the intention and genius behind it.
There’s something special about watching someone do what they were born to do. Good things take time. The work that matters most is built to last.
A day I won’t forget. 🤍
