As a mom my heart aches for Mary. When she washed Jesus’ feet, I wonder if it was his baby feet, she pictured. His little fingers and toes, the baby she carried, birthed, nurtured and raised.
She knew what was coming, what he was meant to do, but I can’t imagine it would have made it any less painful to see.
This Easter means more than it ever has to me, his sacrifice means more. While the world sees our savior, I look my son’s tiny feet and think of his mama.
