KPC has been invited to display our photographs at the Horatio Museum again next year, from Sept through the end of the year. The theme this time is "Holidays" including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah. Once again it needs to be Monadnock area only and they'd love to see some local historic homes included.
Start taking pictures this season to gear up for the show!

Who: New Hampshire Institute of Art call for entry for Monadnock area photographers. The project will be organized by Faculty Gary Samson, with the final exhibition curated by Gary Samson, Glen Scheffer, Steve Gelhbach, and Camellia Sousa.

What: NHIA is looking for local photographers to help create a photographic exhibition documenting the people, culture, architecture and landscape of the Peterborough area, that would include towns in a fifteen to twenty-mile radius. The work would be created in the spirit of the Farm Security Administration photography that was done during the Great Depression years by photographers like Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans and Arthur Rothstein. We also proposing the creation of a print on demand book that would include work by all the photographers in the exhibition. Additionally, a portfolio of prints would be created and donated to the appropriate historical society in the area.

When: An info session will be held at NHIA's Sharon Arts Center Gallery, 30 Grove St, Peterborough, NH on Wednesday, October 19, 6-7:30pm. RSVP to: [email protected]. The photography will begin in October 2016 and conclude in September 2017. The result of the work would be exhibited in November and December of 2017 in the Sharon Arts Center Gallery.
