I am a self-taught graphic artist, with no training other than high school art classes. I have been doing pencil portraits for over 40 years. Each portrait is given 15 to 30 hrs work. I work completely free-hand with no assistance from slides, stencils or other mechanical devices. I feel that my talent is a gift from God and acknowledge it by writing the initials “TG” along with my signature.

My goal is to master complete control over my tool, making it achieve exactly the effect I choose. Working from photographs, I strive to deliver as much realism as possible.
