Oh what a gorgeous spring day. The farmers market officially opened which means our family’s Saturday AM rhythms return, those brave first blooms are starting to open in the flower bed, the freshly mowed grass smell has filled the neighborhood, and firepit evenings will become a regular unwind routine.

Today is such a gift. What will we do with our gift? Our present of time? I want to make the most of mine!

Often, I am having to remind myself that the daily todo list doesn’t need to rule me, it doesn’t determine if I was successful or failed for the day.

Instead, was I kind? Was I patient towards my children? Was I present for those that needed me in the moment?

I know our circumstances alter the lenses we view life with but I hope even the hard/negative life experiences we have to walk can be used to have us pause and appreciate the little moments.

I think it’s time we dig into the archives and let some colorful sunset sessions fill the feed.

Every time I get a “session has been booked” email I still feel overwhelmed with gratitude, a huge smile spreads over my face and my heart fills with excitement. I celebrate each booked session as it means the world to have families come back year after year for their story to be told.

Happy Friday!!!

I know I’m late to the show
I know everyone else opened their calendars months ago
BUT I am finally ready to think about 2025, and assign dates - yeah 3 months in I’m aware 😆

I have a wait list of families who have reached out this winter and requested spring April/May sessions and they will get first pick of dates in the next week, but any remaining spring and summer dates will be going live next week!!

One of my favorite sessions this fall was getting the honor of photographing my 1st nephew. He’s such a cutie and I’ve so loved getting to spend so much time with him the last couple months. Slow down precious boy - you are growing so fast!!

This might just be my favorite shot of the whole season. Big brother loving on little sis - I’m a melted puddle.

It was insanely windy, the location was the busiest I’ve ever seen it in 7 years with other photographers, time was against us, and yet magic was still created & captured!!

Finding the beauty in the chaos always.
