On one of our latest trips, we had the pleasure of making time for the charming town of Beaumont, Texas, where Lamar University and Sam Houston met for an exciting women’s soccer match.

As part of the referee team, my responsibility is to remain a neutral observer of the game. From that unique position, I have the privilege of witnessing the beauty, effort, determination, and extraordinary discipline these phenomenal athletes bring to the field. Through my lens, I simply try to preserve a few of those unforgettable moments.

I’m equally grateful for the warm and welcoming people who help bring the stadium experience to life. My sincere appreciation goes to the stadium staff and to everyone I had the opportunity to meet along the way — vendors, maintenance crews, media personnel, law enforcement, and the many friendly faces who made the visit so enjoyable.

We wish both teams, their staffs, and everyone involved a successful and memorable soccer season. It was truly a pleasure to be there.

Any repeated appearances of the same individuals throughout the gallery are entirely coincidental and simply reflect their proximity to my photography position. Because of my responsibilities on the media team, my movement along the sidelines is often limited, so the photographs naturally capture those who happen to pass through my field of view most frequently.

Delighted to have been invited on Saturday evening to photograph the soccer match between Texas Hawks FC and Katy Jaguars FC. It was a late and chilly night, with a bit of rain making things even more interesting for both me and my lens, and the darkness definitely added its own challenge in keeping up with the action on the field.

This adult match was also a strong reminder of just how much more intense and aggressive the game can be compared to the high school and college matches I’m usually invited to photograph. As always, though, my favorite part was capturing the emotion — the reactions, the intensity, the joy, and all the little moments in between that make the game so alive.

While I was there as a neutral observer as part of the referee team, I want to congratulate both teams for the heart and determination they brought to the field, as well as the supporters in the stands for being there and adding to the atmosphere.

Had a great time today on the sidelines capturing the matchup between Sealy Junior High (Home) and Waller Schultz Junior High (Away). There’s something uniquely exciting about junior high games—the raw energy, the hustle, and the genuine love for the game at every moment.

What I enjoyed most, as always, was documenting the emotion. The focus before a play, the reactions after, the teamwork, the small wins—those are the moments that truly tell the story. There’s a kind of pure passion at this level that’s refreshing to witness and even more special to capture.

Kudos to both teams for the effort, sportsmanship, and heart they brought to the field, and to everyone in the stands for showing up and supporting these young athletes.

It was such a pleasure to be invited yesterday evening to photograph the match between Houstonians FC and TSU Soccer.

As always, my favorite part was capturing the emotion of the game — the reactions, the determination, the celebrations, and all the in-between moments that make the story so alive.

Although I was there as a neutral observer as part on the referee side, I want to congratulate both teams for the passion and heart they brought to the field, and also the supporters in the stands for keeping the energy high.
