Delighted to have been invited on Saturday evening to photograph the soccer match between Texas Hawks FC and Katy Jaguars FC. It was a late and chilly night, with a bit of rain making things even more interesting for both me and my lens, and the darkness definitely added its own challenge in keeping up with the action on the field.

This adult match was also a strong reminder of just how much more intense and aggressive the game can be compared to the high school and college matches I’m usually invited to photograph. As always, though, my favorite part was capturing the emotion — the reactions, the intensity, the joy, and all the little moments in between that make the game so alive.

While I was there as a neutral observer as part of the referee team, I want to congratulate both teams for the heart and determination they brought to the field, as well as the supporters in the stands for being there and adding to the atmosphere.

Had a great time today on the sidelines capturing the matchup between Sealy Junior High (Home) and Waller Schultz Junior High (Away). There’s something uniquely exciting about junior high games—the raw energy, the hustle, and the genuine love for the game at every moment.

What I enjoyed most, as always, was documenting the emotion. The focus before a play, the reactions after, the teamwork, the small wins—those are the moments that truly tell the story. There’s a kind of pure passion at this level that’s refreshing to witness and even more special to capture.

Kudos to both teams for the effort, sportsmanship, and heart they brought to the field, and to everyone in the stands for showing up and supporting these young athletes.

It was such a pleasure to be invited yesterday evening to photograph the match between Houstonians FC and TSU Soccer.

As always, my favorite part was capturing the emotion of the game — the reactions, the determination, the celebrations, and all the in-between moments that make the story so alive.

Although I was there as a neutral observer as part on the referee side, I want to congratulate both teams for the passion and heart they brought to the field, and also the supporters in the stands for keeping the energy high.

Had the pleasure of being on the sidelines yesterday evening to photograph the match between Memorial High School and Humble Summer Creek High School. There’s something about sports photography that pulls you right back in—the speed, the unpredictability, the moments you have to anticipate before they even happen.

What stood out to me most, as always, were the emotions. The split-second reactions, the determination, the celebration—it’s where the real story lives. Being around that level of passion and youthful energy is something special. It’s a reminder of how fully teenagers show up for what they love, and how powerful that enthusiasm can be.

Huge congratulations to both teams for leaving it all on the field, and to the supporters who brought the atmosphere to life from the stands. And a special shoutout to Summer Creek on their win—well earned and exciting to watch as they move forward.

Thrilled to have been invited yesterday evening to photograph the soccer match between Bellaire HISD and Pasadena Dobie. It had been a while since I stepped back into the fast pace of sports photography, and I was quickly reminded just how dynamic and exciting it is.

As always, my favorite part was capturing the emotion: the reactions, the intensity, the joy, and all the little moments in between. Being surrounded by so much teenage energy, passion, and excitement for the future was genuinely refreshing. That kind of enthusiasm is contagious!!
