We talk so much about making sure we take the pictures while our kids are little because those years go by so fast, and of course I agree… take ALL the pictures of the tiny hands, missing teeth, little-kid giggles and all the craziness that comes with those years. But somewhere along the way, I think we forget that we need to keep taking them when they get big, too. 🤍
When they’re suddenly taller than you, when those little-kid faces have turned into teenagers and young adults, when everyone is busy going in a million different directions and just getting your whole family together in the same place at the same time feels like an accomplishment. Because these years are going by pretty darn fast too, and this version of your family deserves to be remembered just as much as all the ones that came before it.
So yes, take the pictures when they’re little… but please don’t stop when they get big. One day, I have a feeling these pictures will mean even more. 🤍 *Im told the sisters were the ones that made sure this session happened and I LOVE that. This family was so beautiful and amazing and we had a blast! So happy we could squeeze it in before many of them headed back to college. Yall are perfect Emery fam! I have been photographing the most amazing seniors lately and I can’t get enough. I love seeing each one’s personality come out in each session and the locations and outfits and colleges - it’s just such a fun and exciting time for them and I’m so honored to capture this milestone. I have had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful senior for years and not only does she have the best smile and hair, but the athleticism and intelligence and kindness along with it. You are going to do amazing things in college Maisie! I loved our session so much!

It was raining as I drove to the session and a total downpour 5 minutes after I got in my car after the session, but in-between we got magic and clear skies! Loved seeing this beautiful family again after a few years. These sisters have grown up so much into the most beautiful and sweetest sisters! Loved loved loved our session, C fam!

Nothing sweeter than these beauties in the bluebonnets. And this mama needs a trophy because she decided to sign up for the shoot, got these cuties dressed (in these adorable matching outfits), and got to the location all within a few hours! Talk about a super mom! And also just goes to show that it’s more about capturing and embracing the moment the making sure everything is planned out perfectly! Loved loved loved seeing this amazing family again!
