Celebrating a Milestone in Leadership

Still buzzing from such an incredible experience! I am officially a graduate of The George Foundation’s Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership Class of 2026. 🎓✨

Spending the last several months learning alongside such a talented and passionate group of local leaders in the non-profits world has been transformative. This program wasn’t just about professional development; it was about deepening our commitment to our community and finding new, innovative ways to make a lasting impact.

A massive thank you to The George Foundation for investing in us and for providing the tools to help our local non-profits thrive. I’m walking away with a sharper vision, a stronger network, and a renewed fire to keep spreading sunshine and serving those around me.

It is incredible what can happen in just six days. Less than a week ago, we gathered to plant seeds of hope and community, and today, the first tiny sprouts are already pushing through the earth.

These photos capture a beautiful moment: from a signed board full of names and hope to the literal “breaking ground” of our collective efforts. Each little green shoot is a reminder that when we come together with a shared purpose, growth isn’t just a possibility—it’s inevitable.

Why These Sprouts Matter
• Resilience: Watching a tiny seedling push through heavy mulch is the perfect metaphor for the strength found in our community.
• Connection: Every person who signed that board is now part of these flowers’ story.
• The Future: This is only the beginning. In weeks to come, these small sprouts will transform into a sea of gold that everyone can enjoy.

Seeing these results so quickly is the best kind of motivation. Thank you to everyone who lent a hand, signed the board, and believed in this vision. We are quite literally watching our hard work bloom!

Together, We Planted Some Sunshine! 🌻

What an incredible day at the Mark Chapman YMCA! We are still beaming from the energy and hard work our community brought to the dirt today.

A massive thank you to the 30+ volunteers who showed up ready to get their hands dirty. It was especially wonderful to have three exchange students from Germany, Japan, and Thailand join us! The thought of having an international impact is truly humbling and incredibly inspiring. It’s a powerful reminder that when we come together to beautify our corner of the world, the ripples of that joy can reach across the globe.

Together, we tackled 80 bags of soil and over 300 sunflower seeds to create something truly special. These community projects are about so much more than just planting sunflowers—they are about planting the seeds of connection. This garden is a space designed to build relationships and foster community outside of our normal circles, proving that we grow better when we grow together.

Keep an eye out for those first sprouts—we can’t wait to see this garden (and these new friendships from around the world) in full bloom!
