Sunflowers are relentless. They start in the dark, push through heavy soil, and spend their early days turning their entire heads just to follow whatever light they can find. Watching them grow has been a gentle reminder that progress isnā€™t instant, and healing isnā€™t linear.

As the garden blooms, Iā€™m realizing we arenā€™t so different from the seeds we plant. We need time, space, patience, and a whole lot of light to recover.
Hereā€™s to growing right alongside the gardenā€”one inch, one day, and one ray of sunshine at a time.

Losing my mom changed everything. Her warmth, her joy, and the way she so brightly lit up our community are things I hold close every single day.

Every time I sink a sunflower seed into the dirt, itā€™s a tribute to her, itā€™s my motivation to grow an empowered community of women who show up for each other. Growing this garden has become my way of keeping her sunshine alive and honoring the legacy of love she left behind.

They say sunflowers always look for the lightā€”and every bloom is a reminder of hers. šŸŒ»āœØ

It might just look like a little green stem right now, but this tiny sprout is leading the charge for an entire ACRE of sunflowers coming your way soon. In a few short months, this entire field wonā€™t just bloom with goldā€”it will stand as a living symbol of hope, bringing us all together to grow a bigger, brighter and empowered community. šŸŒ»āœØ

Bringing people together is truly the light of our life. When we combine hard work with genuine human connection, something powerful happensā€”we build bonds that last a lifetime.

Whether itā€™s making a lifelong friend, working through a personal challenge, connecting with the earth, or (for some of the kids) just surviving a ā€œmy mom made me do itā€ moment, the impact is real. The work might be tough in the moment, but the outcome is beautiful.

We are moving dirt and planting sunflower seeds tomorrow at 8am and we need your help!!!

Did I mention that volunteers get first dibs on the limited sessions available in the sunflower field!
