For over four mesmerizing minutes, the world transformed before our eyes. The sky darkened, and there was a palpable tension in the air. No photograph could fully encapsulate the sheer wonder of totality—the moment when the sun’s brilliance waned, as if someone had flipped off the cosmic light switch. First time watching and photographing the Milky Way - Arches National Park, Moab, Utah, 2019.

It was a night without the moon, and the sky was clear. The encounter with the galaxy against the backdrop of the darkness was truly surreal, a stark contrast to the limited stellar views I'm accustomed to in the bright lights of Houston, Texas. Over the course of the next hour, I photographed the cosmic spectacle from various vantage points, utilizing a Nikon camera. Recently edited these photos with Adobe Lightroom and could bring out a lot of details and lights from the original raw files.

Exploring the Bisti / De-Na-Zin Wilderness Area in New Mexico. 45,000 acres or true wilderness and absolutely amazing and breathtaking. Not too many people and the landscape looks more like Mars than Earth. No trail marks and couldn't have made it without the All Trails app with GPS guidance. We explored 5 miles of it and found the Alien egg hatchery.
