On Saturday I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Steven & Ceason Wells. I knew going into this that it would be hard - Steven had lung cancer and was nearing the end of his life. I cried with them during the ceremony, I laughed with them after, and I felt connected with them as a whole. When I delivered the gallery last night, I received the heart breaking message that Steven had passed Sunday night. Having only known him for a few hours, I can’t imagine how heart broken his bride must be. I feel so blessed to have been able to capture his last celebration. He knew his end was near, but he chose to be happy and show his love for Ceason in front of his friends & family. To Ceason, thank you for allowing me to be apart of your day. You’re in my heart!!
