It’s no secret that I’ve been a bit radio silent on the creation front.
To put it simply: I didn’t want to photograph anyone.
I spent the past five years hustling and working because I told myself if I got to a certain follower count, if I was booked and busy and spent all my time on social media advertising my talent that the world would just open up for me.
But that’s not how this business works. The photography world is over saturated and it can be extremely difficult to distinguish yourself from the herd. I felt like I was failing.
Not only that, but I didn’t love it anymore. So I took some time off. I read a lot of books and wrote a lot and thought about what this world means to me, and how I want to exist in this space.
I never wanted to be booked and busy all the time. Yes, it would have been nice to have that additional financial support, but that was never my goal when I started this.
I wanted to capture humans being human. I wanted to see them happy, glowing, and in love with life. I wanted to see their smiles and capture memories I know they will cherish forever.
I won’t call it semi-retirement because you guys are far from done with me in this space, but I came out of a hiatus when my best friend asked me to take his engagement photos for him. And it turned out to be exactly what I needed.
Aren’t they adorable?! My best friend is getting married y’all! 💍
My books are open for this fall, however, I am offering limited sessions. I wanna spend time living my life, I hope you’ll understand. 🖤 reach out to me now if you’d like to book.
