ok, YES, I've been *extremely* busy this year with the kids and life. YES, I've come to accept it; despite my efforts of trying to make it all work, it just isn't my season to push my little baby businesses forward, I've become okay with that.

HOWEVERRRR.. - since two things can be true at the same time - ..

I miss photography very much. I enjoy what I do! Creating keeps me feelin' alive! I enjoy the pressure of having a ton of galleries in queue. It's super bizarre having nothing on my plate (workwise), really.

But honestly, lol, one of my favorite pastimes is to go back and re-edit old galleries haha. It's how I decompress when the kids and hubbs be drivin me CRAZYYYY.

Especially now with a new laptop that makes everything appear way different (100% color accurate). I want to update all 60,000 images in my lightroom lol!! Ok not actually.

BEACH BUM ("bo***ir") are some of my absolute favorite sessions to host!! I'd made them an annual event. But unless someone wants to brave the water in late September / October LOL... 😅👀 I don't think I'll be able to swing these this year.

I anticipate next year will be VERY busy with photography again. My heart will need to launch again.

Best way to reignite my interest in taking photos again?

NEW LAPTOP
NEW LENS

Finally invested in a 70-200 2.8 (gibberish for non photographers ha)... But essentially for the last 5 years I've been telling my husband that THE DAY WILL SOON COME! This lens is a 'family investment' (this was my angle haha).

He agreed to it because it means stellar sports photos! And hopefully some rodeo photos of him this coming weekend.

Football starts tonight... lens arrives Thursday. Laptop arrived Monday (so long overdue good grief).

Feeling very excited!!!

So in the meantime, here's some old tball photos that I love. Sports photography is FUN.

I've been completely checked out. Of pretty much all things work related. Buttttt, very checked IN to home life. :)

I am deep in the season of raising young kids. And honestly, it's exactly where I want to be. Where I need to be. It seems the harder I focus on work, the more the kids tug at my arms. Working on radical acceptance. It's not been easy!

I haven't had any weekends to dedicate to scheduling photography session which is why you don't see me marketing for anything.

By the end of spring, every single weekend into August was spoken for. And now ofc we are booked into October. Between travel, holidays, hosting guests, house projects, birthday parties, sports, you name it!

I am hoping to get back into sessions this fall/winter once things settle for us in home-life (is that a thing?)
