Big News! Bethany Mills Photography is moving to the Kansas City area!

While I've loved serving clients in the Gas City, Indiana area, life has brought me to Kansas City. I'm so thankful for all the clients in the Gas City area I've had the joy of working with over the years. Thank you for trusting me with your Weddings, Newborn portraits, and family portraits.

I'm not quite ready to accept new clients in Kansas City just yet, but hope to be ready around the beginning of 2020. I look forward to seeing what KC brings me, and look forward to serving KC!

Stay tuned! And if you know of anyone in KC that needs a photographer I hope you'll keep me in mind!

(also, their is always the chance I'll be back in the Gas City area for visits to my family, and I might do some minis while I'm in town. I hope my Indiana clients will stick around for updates on that.)

I was so thrilled to be part of Mama Pearson's Soaporium's attempt today at setting a Guinness World Record for "World's Largest Bath Bomb"! It was so much fun to watch.

The final weight? 198.64lbs! WOW!

As I am sure many of you know, I'm a proud Navy Sister. My brother is a sailor in the US Navy. Last summer, I got the honor and joy to attend one of his homecomings. Standing on the pier watching his ship pull in after almost a year of being away, I was so so thankful that my brother got to return home to his family safely. I was so thankful that not only did I get my brother home, but his wife got her husband home, and his daughter got her daddy home. It was the best feeling in the world. Watching my niece and her daddy finally walking hand in hand to the car... I didn't think she'd ever let go of his hand again.

But today, the day before Memorial Day, I pause and reflect and think of the families that didn't get that homecoming joy. The families that instead welcomed home a flag draped casket. That is beyond imagining for me, and my heart mourns with and for them.

So tomorrow, as you go about your Memorial Day, say a prayer for the loved ones of those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Take a moment and be thankful that we are free to have our cookouts, or watch the race, or go to church, or go about our daily lives the way we do in the US because of the brave men and women that stand up for our freedom.
