Oh, hey! 😅

I wanted to share a quick update and ask for a little patience over the next few days... I was recently involved in an accident after hitting a deer & my car was unfortunately totaled. I’m very thankful to say that I am okay, but this has impacted my workflow and transportation while I work through next steps..

✨ A little life + business update from me ✨

If you’ve been here for a while, you know photography isn’t just something I do… it’s something I’ve poured my heart into. And this past year? It’s been real growth, learning, stretching, & stepping into what I want my business to be.

As we move into 2026, I want to be really transparent with you. I’m intentionally shifting my focus toward growing my clientele in the Kansas City area. That means I’ll be limiting my availability in the Joplin area to once a month or every other month moving forward. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one that allows me to show up better, spend quality time with my family, create more consistently, & serve my clients at a higher level.

One thing I’m incredibly excited about is continuing to improve my in-home studio & greenhouse. It’s something I’ve invested so much time and energy into (just ask my husband 🤭). I love having a space where I can create comfortably & consistently, especially for minis!

Speaking of minis… 👀
This year, I’m planning to offer more mini sessions. They have truly become one of my favorite ways to serve families, couples, seniors, and Moms who want beautiful photos without a full session commitment. I can’t wait to roll out what I have planned!

Another big goal for me this year is consistency.

Consistency in booking.
Consistency in editing.
Consistency in communication.
Consistency in showing up here.

I’m also balancing and building something very close to my heart alongside photography, helping grow and manage the social media side of The Empty Nest Mom. It’s been such a meaningful creative outlet, & while it adds to my plate, it’s also taught me so much about branding and showing up online… Lessons that directly pour back into L.K. Photography LLC. 💜
