Emily and Mike just got married a little over a week ago, and it reminded me how much of a joy it is to follow my wedding clients and friends through a year (or more!)

Just a year, and a world of a difference. That familiarity finding its way into every photo. Things we talk about at their engagement session show up in speeches, their vows, my interactions with their loved ones.

I just don’t take any of this for granted. Emily and Mike, thank you for having me through this phase! Every time I see yellow gingham or a golf cart, I think of y’all :,)

These two!! I recently made a guest book album for Mary and Levi, and it reminded me to share some favorites from our time at the park! They are such good kind lovely nice people!

I spent a week back home, and was reminded of these images. And then, these images reminded me of what I friend once told me- ‘When I look at your photos, I feel like I’ve meet these people before!’

THAT.
That is my greatest goal.

To capture your personhood. To see you as a friend would see you. To have your parents tell me, ‘she used to make that same face when she was 5.’

Lauren’s ponytail said more in one day than I have in my entire life. Literally love remembering this day so much!

Not to mention that Lauren had handbeaded bucket hats for both .photo and I. The most thoughtful gift ever!!!
