Doing a little editing as we brace for impact on bad weather headed our way. Check out these amazing shots we took yesterday. I’m no stranger to doing the Shippy fam’s photos and I’m so pleased with how these turned out! Crazy to think five years ago we’d be introduced to one of my sons best friends and become great friends with the whole family. We love you guys ♥️

Been a minute since I've been behind the camera! I had an opportunity to shoot this college grad session a few weeks ago down at the Nelson-Atkins Museum, and it felt so good to capture some amazing shots with a beautiful subject during an amazing golden hour evening.

As summer approaches, please reach out if you need photos done for 2027 seniors, families, milestones, etc. I may not actively advertise or post often, but I'm still here and gladly willing to capture those precious moments.

𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚘 𝚏𝚊𝚕𝚕 🍂

Ahhh. The “ber” months have finally arrived!! Which means fall photos!

I know it’s been rather quiet over here but I wanted to touch base publicly as I have been getting several inquiries the last couple days. The burning question: Are you still doing photography?! Short answer: Sort of, yes.

Explanation: Life has changed a lot from this time last year. Our family lost my mom last November after she suffered a major stroke and contracted the ‘vid. And honestly my mental health has been garbage from grief and photography was shoved aside.

In addition, there was some health issues this summer - woohoo broken foot and pesky hernias. Add in that my little girl is now going to pre-k/daycare and my son is in the 2nd grade this school year. And admist the chaos, I’ve decided to go back to school (nursing pre-recs) and I start a full time job next week at a pediatricians office. All great, exciting things!

So with that all being said, I am being very selective about booking sessions this fall. My availablity is super limited. Also, I’m asking for some grace in editing/gallery delivery turn around time. Between school, work, and family time, deliveries may take a little longer than usual.

I’m considering opening up some mini options that would be more economical for both myself and you, my clients. If that’s something you’d be interested, please comment below!

Brrrrrr 🥶 It sure is freezing this week and I’m over all this snow, which has me dreaming of warmer days and that golden hour glow. My spring and summer calendars are officially open! Be warned - I have extremely limited openings in April, but March and May are pretty open right now.

💐🐮 I have some potential Easter and Mother’s Day mini opportunitiesin the works as well. Stay tuned for more details!

2025-2026 Seniors, I highly recommend scheduling your sessions sooner rather than later! 🎓

I will be at MY Play Café - Northland KC tomorrow 1:30-2:30pm for Valentine’s mini photoshoot! Bring the littles to play and snap a few Valentine’s photos. I’ll have several props like headbands and heart shaped sunglasses too! ♥️

Pancakes with Santa last week was a big hit! It was a great turnout and raised money for the PTO. This Santa was new this year and he was fantastic. I enjoy doing these every year. These rugrats of mine actually cooperated and I got a few good shots of them ♥️

In other news, I haven’t posted much because I’m still very much processing everything. My mother passed away November 19th after complications from a massive stroke and getting Covid. I have been working hard on galleries to catch up, please give me some grace though if you’re still waiting. Your patience and understanding is much appreciated. I’m not taking anymore new sessions for a little while to allow myself to recoup, process and grieve. My heart goes out to anyone else struggling this holiday season as well.

If you currently are waiting on a gallery, please be patient with me on delivery times. My mom had a massive stroke Sunday and I have been in and out of the ICU all week with her. Things are beginning to stabilize so hoping to get back to the grind, but running a little behind on my schedule.

With this, I’m not sure what the near or long term future looks like and will not be taking any new bookings for the time being. With the exception of Christmas tree farm mini’s November 9th.
