Over the past year or so I’ve been invited to the homes of seven couples/families, and I cannot express how much I’ve enjoyed photographing their lives and love in the spaces they inhabit. The type of comfort and warmth these sessions bring you could not find at any park or scouted location.
So I am opening in-home sessions next month!
Full 60 minute or mini 30 minute sessions available for those KC couples and families out there on 12/7 and 12/14.

Having a family session this morning— I never would have guessed this for myself that the past several months would have been filled with sessions revolving around families.

It was never my intention to become a “family photographer”, but I have been majorly loving what I get to witness during these sessions. Growing a family by one, holding life created by you and your partner, soaking in the final moments before welcoming a baby into this world. All of it.

And the fact that I get to photograph MY own daughter as she grows like a w**d. Each photo I take of her I see how much her mind grows and personality forms. What use to be 2 teeth is now a full cheeky smile. Short, soft baby hair now long enough to tie up in a pony.

It’s all so special to me, to be surrounded by such growth of these amazing humans. I didn’t intend to be a photographer for families, but I see and acknowledge how special and unique these sessions are, just like weddings. I hope to get the opportunity to continue photographing growing bumps, fresh little newborn eyes, and giddy grins of sprouting children for many, many more seasons.

Zoey and Kyle wrapped up September for us with a sunset ceremony in the rose garden at Loose Park surrounded by close friends and family, then treated them to an amazing dinner at Lidia’s right in the heart of KC ❤️
