Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Kansas City 🤍

“April 25th… because it’s not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket.” — Miss Congeniality 😂
Which made their wedding date even more perfect.

From their intimate candlelit speakeasy ceremony to the family heirloom details, every part of this day felt so intentional.

And of course, with the groom being in a band himself, they had a killer KC band that kept the dance floor packed all night.

This wedding was everything. ✨

POV: You did a first look and it changed the whole energy of your day.

The nerves? Gone.
The timeline? Smooth.
The photos? Unreal.

Not required. Not for everyone.
But my couples who do it? Zero regrets.

Last fall, before a session, I met Natalia and we spent time chatting about life and her dogs. I shared my social media with her, and we stayed connected.

Fast forward almost a year later, and she reached out to have me photograph her and her husband welcoming their baby girl, Sienna. What an honor it was to be welcomed into their home to capture them as a family for the very first time — and to see where their first family photos will live on the walls, right alongside their wedding photos.

I don’t take this work lightly. Preserving these early days in the spaces where life is truly lived is something I hold with so much care.

One of my favorite things about this job is working with people more than once. These engagement photos were taken a few years ago on their property, with the animals that are part of their everyday life.

Now I’ll be photographing their small wedding this May, and I’m honored to document this next chapter.

If you’re planning an intimate wedding and don’t need full-day coverage, I offer custom wedding options. Let’s chat.

Your session will feel more like time together than a photoshoot. I’ll handle the guidance, timing, and flow so you can focus on your people. When families feel at ease, moments happen naturally — and that’s what we capture.

One of my favorite reasons to photograph families downtown KC 🤍👇

Downtown isn’t just a pretty backdrop—it tells your family’s story. These photos capture your hometown. The city your kids are growing up in. The skyline they recognize. The streets that feel familiar.

And with the FIFA World Cup 2026 coming to Kansas City, this feels even more meaningful. KC is about to be on the world stage. Photographing your family downtown right now documents this season of life before the crowds, changes, and buzz fully take over.

Years from now, these images won’t just say “we took family photos.” They’ll say this is where we’re from—this is our city.

The murals, brick buildings, rooftops, and skyline give your photos a strong sense of place. When your kids look back, they won’t just see how little they were… they’ll remember Kansas City as part of their childhood story.

Downtown KC family sessions feel timeless, rooted, and real—and right now is such a special moment to capture it 🤍

No one tells you this about family photos…

They’re not about perfect smiles.

They’re about the in-between.

The way your baby grabs your shirt.
The way you instinctively sway.
The way dad leans in without thinking.

Behind the scenes, I’m constantly guiding — adjusting hands, fixing posture, watching the light — so you don’t have to think about any of it.

You’re not expected to know what to do.

You’re just expected to love on your people.

That’s where the magic actually happens 🤍

Senior photos are about so much more than just one outfit or one pose 🎓✨

Studio sessions give us the space to highlight everything that makes this season special — letter jackets, sports, passions, and the little details that tell your story. Bringing props adds movement, confidence, and personality, and helps capture who you are in this moment of life. Years from now, these are the images that will bring all the memories rushing back.

Senior year deserves to be documented in a way that feels true to you. Thank you, Maddie, for trusting me to tell your story 🥎💜
