It’s not all editing and “i’ll fix it later”.
It’s also about managing time - knowing your timeframe and allowing time to breathe even when it feels like everything and everyone around you is rushing.
Being intentional - if you want a specific shot, we need to plan for it and shoot intentionally without having to repeat the moment. Portraits on your Wedding Day shouldn’t feel like a movie set that needs retakes.
Teamwork - For the most part, people are generous and kind. My second shooter was at the top of the stairs to get that angle and asking people to please hold quickly for a few photos. We didn’t make them wait long at all, but enough to get a couple images without overwhelming the couple.
Editing of course helps in these moments as well. But they were minimal when we were intentional with our time and the way we lined up the shot, as well as asking nicely and moving quickly to not disrupt everyone else’s time.
