28 felt like a pretty big year for me, not necessarily because I felt it was the most productive year I’ve had, but because of the experiences and friends I got to spend it with. So I just wanted to highlight a few things that I feel really proud of/happy about throughout the last year.
1. For those of you that don’t know, my Mom has been in love with moose her entire life, and even themed both of her coffee shops around them, but she hadn’t got to see one in person before. So for her birthday in November, I surprised her with a trip for the two of us to go out to Jackson, WY, where she got to see her first moose and we got to have our first vacation together since college.
2. In January I had the incredible opportunity to fly out to Death Valley National Park with Ford to take their Explorer Tremor off-roading, and I got to meet a ton of great people doing so. I didn’t think my 2026 was going to start off with that, but definitely something I’m really grateful for.
3. I got to fly out to Alaska with good friend from high school/college, and drive around for a week seeing everything from Denali to the Kenai Peninsula. He isn’t into photography, so getting not have the trip be fully focused around that honestly made it that much more enjoyable - even if it rained all day every day 😂
4. I finally upgraded from the Equinox and bought myself a Ford F-150. I’ve slowly been building it out to be extremely capable, and it has been the perfect upgrade. Not having to limit myself and where I can go because of my vehicle has been incredible… plus it’s a bit more photogenic than the Equinox.
There’s a ton more I’m grateful for, especially everyone that was a part of the year. Here’s to the final year of my 20s.
