Why hiring a professional newborn photographer matters đЎ
I wanted to take a minute to talk about something thatâs really important to me: newborn photography safety.
When you trust someone to handle and pose your brand-new baby, experience and training matter so much. Professional newborn photographers are trained to work safely with little ones and understand how to create those adorable, curled-up poses without ever putting your baby at risk. Many of those âbucketâ or âbowlâ shots you see are actually composites, meaning several images are carefully blended together to create the illusion.
A professional photographer should also have insurance. We all hope itâs never needed, but itâs an important part of running a safe and responsible business. Donât ever be afraid to ask about a photographerâs training or insurance. Those questions are absolutely okay, and you deserve that peace of mind.
Yes, newborn photographers often charge more, and thereâs a reason for that. Youâre not just paying for photos. Youâre investing in someone who knows how to safely handle your baby, manage the environment, and create lasting art with care and skill.
I completely understand that things are tight right now and photography can feel like luxury that is not attainable. Many professionals (myself included) offer payment options or flexible plans to help make it possible, because those early days are so special and go by so fast.
If professional photos arenât in the budget right now, thatâs okay too. Iâm planning to share another post soon, or maybe a video, with some tips for taking safe, simple newborn photos at home. Iâm not saying you need to hire me, but I do want you to know your babyâs safety always comes first.
If you ever have questions or just want to chat about newborn safety or photography, my messages are always open. đ
