An American Photographer

An American Photographer Photojournalist, Montana Outdoor Lifestyle & Adventure photog, Getty Images contributor, TLM photog Hi, I'm Amy, and I'm An American Photographer. Follow Me!

I've worked as a journalist since 2003 and ran a successful military blog with over two million unique visitors until 2011. I transitioned into photojournalism in 2011, writing and producing images for military and civilian newspapers alike, covering everything from local and national politics, sports, news, military events and every other conceivable aspect of the news industry, including intervi

ews and video. My true love was travel photography and journalism so as the news industry became less fair and balanced, I segued into solotravel and nature. My images have appeared on social media accounts for New Zealand and many states across the US like New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. I've even had photographs on the National Geographic website and CNN. By 2017, I became the commissioned photographer for the National Shrine of St. Alphonsus (https://stalphonsusbalt.org/) in Baltimore, MD, until I had enough of city life and moved all the way out to beautiful northwestern Montana in 2021. I'm now an outdoor lifestyle photographer and legacy photographer so if you're traveling to northwestern Montana and want memorable, outdoor images in epic locations that tell a story, feel free to contact me at [email protected] so we can talk. AfterMass with Ana Munley-
What Palm Sunday Actually Means (And Why the Crowd Was Wrong)

I found Ana Munley on YouTube recently, and her discussions on spiritual things, especially all things Catholic, are really edifying, thought-provoking and encouraging. Here, she talks about the irony of the crowd that welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem as their King, but what their real expectations and motives were, and how it is the beginning of the Passion, not contradictory, but yet how it is sad and reasonable.

I highly encourage you to watch this video, if you are looking for deeper devotions during the end of Lent, and beyond this season. She offers really good, solid reminders of what our faith is. It is deep, purposeful and full of paradoxical meaning.

Who is Christ our King, and will we still follow Him even when we fully understand that His agenda may not align with ours? What are we willing to sacrifice for the King who lays down his life for selfish, confused humanity?
