On the most beautiful August days in Northern Michigan, Lauren & Hayden said “I do” in front of the people who mean the most to them.

From beginning to end their day was so joyful, heartfelt, full of sentimental moments, and all about their love for each other.

The night before with L + H 🩵🌊

There is something so special about a Northern Michigan Summer & getting to spend the weekend with these two love birds documenting their wedding weekend made it even more magical!

Lauren & Hayden are so effortless together, sharing genuine laughs & enjoying every moment to the fullest. I knew their wedding day would be exactly the same!

Warm sand & a light breeze made for a perfect evening with J + R on the beautiful coastline of Lake Michigan 💛

Engagement sessions are such a special time. I get to know more about my couples together & individually, share stories, hear how wedding planning is going, and just have a good time in a beautiful setting.

My time with Jennifer & Ryan was just that. We found we share a love of Diet Coke & Taylor Swift, I learned about jobs and what they want to do next in their careers, talked about family & how Jennifer for the whole month of June did a dance party every evening in her kitchen to gain more confidence, which is exactly how we ended their session!

It makes me so sad I won’t see these two for almost another year, but I know it’s going to fly by & I know their August wedding is going to be just magical + with MANY more dance parties ✨

Joy has a way of making everything feel even more beautiful & that’s exactly how I would describe S + B’s wedding day.

Sarah & Ben laughed through portraits, soaked in every hug, never took themselves too seriously & trusted the moments to unfold naturally. Their incredible & fashionable bridal party cheered them on every step of the way, keeping the energy light, the smiles genuine, and making sure they truly enjoyed every second of the day.

Because at the end of the day, the flowers will wilt, the music will fade, and the timeline will become a memory, but the feeling of being surrounded by the people who have loved you all along? That’s what lasts. That’s why I love weddings.

Hi, I’m Alleigh 🤍

Wedding photographer, recent bride, and the heart behind Alleigh Somers Photography.

If you’ve been around for a while, you may notice a name change! After years of building this business under my maiden name, I recently stepped into this next chapter with a new beautiful website, a meaningful refined brand, and a new last name.

More than anything, though, this season has given me a deeper understanding of what weddings truly mean.

As a 2025 bride, I understand the emotional weight of a wedding day in an entirely new way— the anticipation throughout the planning process, the quiet in-between moments, and just how quickly the day passes by.

That perspective shapes the way I photograph weddings today.

My goal is never just to create beautiful images. I want my couples to feel fully present in their day — cared for, comfortable, celebrated, and genuinely able to soak it all in knowing they have someone in their corner throughout the entire process.

And while the new last name may be new around here, becoming a Somers has been one of the sweetest chapters of my life. My husband, Heath, has supported this business from day one, which makes stepping into this next season feel even more meaningful.

Over the last several months Emily & I have been working on what “Alleigh Somers Photography” was going to be, how it would make potential couples feel, and create a legacy for both me and my couples.

From beginning to end, Nick & Reilly’s wedding day was one I’ll never forget. Every part of the day felt so intentional — filled with meaningful moments, endless laughter, and so much love from the people surrounding them.

And once the dance floor opened… let’s just say this group knew how to celebrate — from Taylor Swift to Guns N’ Roses, the moves were endless!
