Let’s talk about UNPLUGGED CEREMONIES. 📵
Do you need one?
No.
Would I recommend at least thinking about it?
YES.
Your guests are excited.
They love you.
They want pictures.
I completely understand why phones come out when you start walking down the aisle.
But here’s what can happen…
Someone leans into the aisle with their phone.
Someone stands up.
Someone holds an iPad over their head. 😂
And suddenly instead of seeing your mom’s face behind you in the photo, we see a giant phone.
Your guests get ONE chance to actually experience this moment with you.
And you hired someone to photograph it.
Let them watch.
Let them see your face when you walk in.
Let them see your partner’s reaction.
Let them hear your vows without watching them through a screen.
They can take ALL the pictures they want at the reception.
But for those few minutes during your ceremony?
Being completely present is a pretty amazing gift they can give you. 🤍

Wedding party photos do NOT have to be 30 minutes of everyone standing in a straight line smiling at me. 😂
Yes.
We are going to get the traditional photo.
Everyone looking.
Everyone smiling.
Mom and Grandma will appreciate me for that one. 😂
But then…
LET’S HAVE SOME FUN.
These are YOUR PEOPLE.
They’re standing next to you on one of the biggest days of your life for a reason.
I want the photos where everyone is laughing.
The inside jokes.
The personalities.
The bridesmaid who can’t stop fixing your dress.
The groomsman who absolutely cannot follow directions without making everyone laugh. 😂
The people you chose for your wedding party are part of your story.
I want your pictures to show that.
Years from now, I don’t want you to only see who stood next to you.
I want you to remember what it FELT like having all of them there.

When we say “FIRST LOOK,” everyone immediately thinks about the bride and groom.
But those aren’t the only first looks I LOVE. 🤍
A first look with Dad?
Gets me EVERY TIME.
There is just something about that moment when he sees his little girl completely ready to get married.
Sometimes Dad cries.
Sometimes he tries VERY hard not to cry. 😂
Sometimes he just stands there smiling.
And sometimes the bride starts crying before he even turns around.
You can also do a first look with Mom.
Your grandparents.
Your bridesmaids.
Your kids.
Anyone who is important to you.
These moments don’t have to be staged into some huge production either.
Sometimes we simply have everyone step out of the room while you get dressed, bring them back in and let the moment happen.
Those reactions are REAL.
And they become another little piece of your wedding story.
