Yesterday a potential bride followed my page and my first instinct was to scroll my page as if I were a new follower of it. Pretty good, could post a little more. Then I got to this really good post.. one where I talked about the blend of working full time but also being a stay at home mom but also going to networking events and then coming home and making sourdough and doing chicken chores… and I saw the “and, honestly” and IYKYK.
An AI ChatGPT total takedown of my own authenticity. I probably thought I made it “me enough” but I was seriously so icked out by my OWN caption. 🙃 I immediately went in and rewrote it from my own heart.
I used to looove writing. Essays were my jam. From the youngest age, my stories were always used on the projector as an example of what the teacher wanted us to be doing (not a real humble brag here but trying to make a point so stay with me) … and even that girl, who deeply loved writing, who could tell a polished story through paragraphs felt like she couldn’t write a caption ABOUT HERSELF without the help of chat. 🥲
I can feel the wave coming. We’re all so ready for real. Real stories. Real photos. A real summer.
These photos are from my 35mm film camera. I brought it along to Millie’s first piano lesson. And I just wanted to tell you guys I have been feeling really extra blessed by not only the freedom that homeschooling allows in our schedule as a family but also the ability to really lean into our kids strengths and interests. We have extra time to do piano lessons during the day because she is home with me. And I just think that is so so special. I don’t know that homeschooling was ever on my bingo card (I initially went to school to be a middle school teacher).. but I will say it has been the most beautiful experience. I share this because it’s a real part of my life right now.. and you just never know who is out there and wishing they had someone to ask a question about homeschooling - it has oddly been brought up in SEVERAL photoshoots lately and I just love talking about it.
