There were tears and dancing and laughter and barefooted frolicking for this forest empowerment session. This work fills my cup to the brim. I am so lucky that I get to capture women loving themselves.

Sarah and Jose, a love story..

Sarah and Jose came to Hawaii not too long after they got married, on a vacation. They decided it was a good opportunity to get new photos, since they weren’t super pumped about the wedding photos they had.

I am grateful they trusted me to capture their story, because it was obvious how much these two loved each other. Our session was full of laughter.

Love is my favorite thing to photograph.

Like the ocean, we are also fluid and transformative; expanding, releasing, remembering. These images are a reminder that strength isn’t about force, it’s about flow. Like water, we rise when we trust in ourselves. Ivory is magic with wings, having her in front of my camera was a gift that wouldn’t stop giving 🪽💦☀️

It was hard to pick favorites from this session. It’s hard to pick favorites from any session, and that is only one of the reasons that it’s so hard to post on Instagram. How do I choose?? I am trying to get better about not letting these moments pass me by without sharing them. It may be awhile before I post again, so let’s celebrate the little wins. This couple, this new baby, and me actually sharing a session! 🙃🥰 Always grateful I get to be apart of your lives!
