I’ve had so many families this year tell me they’ve never had family photos before and this blows my mind! I think most families think it’s going to be this stressful experience but I can promise you my sessions couldn’t be further from that.

When I hear moms tell me their husbands and kids hate photoshoots I automatically think “challenge accepted” 😆 The more chaotic = better the photos

Today is one of those “pinch me” kind of days!

This was my third year submitting to Heartful Magazine , but the first time I can proudly say one of my images was chosen to be featured in an iconic family photography magazine. In over 10,000 images submitted, my work stood out. I’ve been a long time admirer of all the artists this magazine showcases and humbled to now be a part of 🥹

Capturing true, genuine moments that you can feel has always been my goal. Being featured in Heartful is a testament that I’m doing just that.

In my underwater era 🧜‍♀️

When I started photography 4 years ago my biggest goal (that often felt unattainable) was underwater portrait photography. Between a full time job, kids, weather, scheduling and just life in general, it felt like it wasn’t going to happen.

But over this past year I decided I don’t need to have a timeline for my goals. I was only setting myself up for disappointment. So I shifted my inner monologue and even if I can do a few sessions during season, then that’s good for me.

So excited to travel to learn and connect with other water photographers. Who’s some of your faves?

I’ve grown a lot over the past 4 years, but my “why” has never changed.

I’m here to capture the right now. To freeze the moments you’ll look back on and still feel deeply, even decades from now.

I lean towards photos that are soft, natural and colorful. I want your gallery to feel as warm and 𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓋𝑒 as the memories themselves.

When this soon to be mama booked with me she was so grateful I included a questionnaire and that got me thinking… other photographers don’t do this?!

I put so much effort in getting to know my clients as best as I can to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible and to create the best experience for them.
