The real cost of hiring the inexpensive photographer is not always the price you pay.

It is the time spent coordinating schedules, ordering outfits, and hoping everything arrives on time. It is convincing your husband to show up with a good attitude and praying the kids cooperate just long enough. It is getting everyone out the door, managing emotions, and carrying the mental load before, during, and after the session.

And sometimes, after allllll of that work, you are left with photos you feel just okay about. Photos that do not feel like your family, or like you.

Your time matters. Your energy matters. And the effort you put in deserves to be met with images you absolutely love, not ones you settle for. That is why hiring a photographer should never be about the cheapest price. It should be about choosing someone whose work you truly love and trust. Someone who makes the process easier and delivers images that feel worth the effort.

Family photos are not just an expense. They are an investment in remembering this season exactly as it is for generations to come. 🤍

Christmas Tree Farm Minis were just everything. Thank you to the 30+ families who came and loved these just as much as I did! After every session I find myself thinking the same thing… this is why so many of my clients feel like friends. We value the same things. Family. Connection. The beauty of a moment you never want to forget. We know these are the days we will want to look back on and remember how it all felt.

Becoming a mom changed me in the best ways. It made me notice the little things. It made me slow down. It made me grateful for the chaos and the sweetness and everything in between. And I think that is why I love connecting with other moms so much. We just get each other. We see the same magic.

I am so thankful I get to capture these memories for families who treasure the same things I do. It is the biggest honor and the best part of this job. 🤍🤍🤍

What a wild session this was! 🌈 When I say it was pouring, I mean torrential downpour with crazy wind, sideways rain, the whole thing. Rachel told me she still wanted to go for it, and honestly, I was nervous driving there. I wasn’t sure we’d even be able to get out of our cars!

But then, the clouds broke, a rainbow appeared, and the sun peeked through just long enough to give us the most magical five minutes. Then it started sprinkling again, and at that point we just said let’s play in the rain!

This is what I mean when I talk about photos that feel like your family. Of course, we all love the classic everyone-smiling-at-the-camera Christmas card photo, but it’s the moments of chaos, laughter, and fun that tell your story. Those are the images that hold the most heart. 🤍

It’s sessions like this that remind me, the magic always finds a way. ☀️
