WHAT IF… your toddler doesn’t cooperate? 😅

If I had a dollar for every mom who told me this before their session…

“Honestly, I’m worried my toddler is going to be wild.”

First of all, welcome 🤍 You are exactly my people.

That’s actually why I wanted to start this new series: WHAT IF?

Because so many moms want beautiful family photos, but the worries keep them from ever booking.

What if my toddler melts down?
What if my husband hates photos?
What if I feel awkward?
What if my newborn cries the whole time?
What if my house isn’t picture perfect?

So let’s talk about all of it.

I photograph the way they look up at you like you are their whole world.

I photograph the quiet glances between two people who just became mom and dad.

Because these aren’t just for right now. They’re for the birthdays, the first days of school, the graduations, and the wedding day. The photos you’ll pull out and say, “Look how far you’ve come” and “This is where it all began.”

The real cost of hiring the inexpensive photographer is not always the price you pay.

It is the time spent coordinating schedules, ordering outfits, and hoping everything arrives on time. It is convincing your husband to show up with a good attitude and praying the kids cooperate just long enough. It is getting everyone out the door, managing emotions, and carrying the mental load before, during, and after the session.

And sometimes, after allllll of that work, you are left with photos you feel just okay about. Photos that do not feel like your family, or like you.

Your time matters. Your energy matters. And the effort you put in deserves to be met with images you absolutely love, not ones you settle for. That is why hiring a photographer should never be about the cheapest price. It should be about choosing someone whose work you truly love and trust. Someone who makes the process easier and delivers images that feel worth the effort.

Family photos are not just an expense. They are an investment in remembering this season exactly as it is for generations to come. 🤍

Every year, I’m reminded that the real heroes of family photos are the moms. The ones who book the session, coordinate the outfits, wrangle schedules, pack snacks, and still manage to show up with so much love.

These moments exist because you make them happen. Your husband and kids might not say it right now, but one day they’ll look back at these images and be so thankful for the love and effort you poured into them. 🤍
