Joey wanted Hawaii for her birthday. ✈️🌺
The budget said, “How about Brea?” 😅

I found while wandering through the Brea Mall one day. I popped in to check out the cute dessert bar and was instantly welcomed in true aloha fashion. 🥰🌺

I got to know Chef Charles—a Michelin-trained chef, proud native Hawaiian from the island of Kauaʻi, and someone whose family history traces back to King Kaumualiʻi and Queen Deborah Kapule. His stories and deep love for Hawaiian culture made the day feel that much richer. And meeting Mila herself was just the sweetest thing. 🥰

Needless to say, we booked the party on the spot.

Lei making, painting, homemade bentos, brownie cake from , and a room full of laughing kids... I tried my best to bring Hawaiʻi to Joey, but I realized she didn’t really care where we were. All she wanted was to be surrounded by her friends in the end. Cue the tears. 🥲🥲 So grateful for these friends!! 🙏🏼

A big thank you to Chef Charles and the team at Mila’s Kitchen Hawaii for helping make the day so memorable and extra special for her. What you’ve created is more than a storefront. It’s a place where people feel seen, welcomed, and connected—in the truest aloha way. 🌺

Happy 10th birthday, Joey. What a milestone you’ve crossed. We love you so so much. 🥹

Got to spend the sweetest pre-Mother’s Day morning with my girls and we had a baa-last 🇬🇧🐑🐏

We haven’t seen The Sheep Detectives yet, but we know that it’s set in the a English countryside and follows a flock of sheep trying to piece together what happened to their shepherd after he mysteriously passes - the sheep become the detectives.

Our girls absolutely love reading mystery books, so naturally, they’re really excited to watch this one! (In theaters May 8)

Thank you +
for hosting the day for my sheep-loving girls! 🐏

Happy birthday to the one who left me breathless when I first found out you were real in my life. Gifted to me by the One who loved you first, you strengthened my body, my prayers, and my faith in God by simply existing. You made me a 10-year old mother who firmly believes today that the God of the universe, who created the most beautiful things unfathomable, gave me the most precious gift of all to behold —you. Joey, my Jo-bear, this song is for you. A glimpse of my aching heart of love for you. I love you forever, forever I do.
