Quick trip to Joshua Tree National Park to beat the winter blues. Everything we tried to climb was a sandbagged slab but we dont let the bastards grind us down. Forever grateful for times like these.

I got myself a little drone to play with not because of an urge to dive into videography, but because when the first consumer drones hit the market years ago and I started to see the photographs on my feed I was completely blown away by how the world looks from this perspective. Still gets me how cool it is.

I call this one "Falling Up". This is the bulk of what remains on the north side of the valley of Byron Glacier. The slow retreat back up makes for a pretty dramatic spectacle.

Spent a few days in Bellingham a couple weeks ago and was able to get out to hike around Mt. Baker. Its easy to see how people fall in love with this place.

I spent most of '23 and the start of '24 in a big ol creative slump. 2025 has been challenging and gratifying in so many ways, and with it, I've found myself in a much better place to focus on the things I care about, including my photography. It excites me to capture images like this, and I'm excited to see how this passion evolves in the years to come.

Now here's the floofiest little death machine you ever did see.

The hike back from Lago di Sorapis. The trail was one of the most crowded I've ever been on, which was frustrating because I'm always antsy on the way up a hike. We waited at the refugio (and I got an espresso) for golden hour and temps to start coming down. The clouds rose above the peaks, we started to get some sun peaking through, and we got some of the best views of the trip.

Front and center you see the southern aspect of the Cadini Group. If you've ever done an image search of the Dolomites, you've seen pictures of the Cadini Group. Left of center is Tre Cime di Lavaredo. You can go see a picture of those mountains on my last post!
