As a lot of you know, I’m a bicoastal baddie, living in the high desert of Southern California while also working in Richmond, Virginia. 🌵✈️

One of my favorite little desert gems is Coyote Cone. My daughter and I love spending our summers grabbing waffle cones, soaking up that Morongo Valley sunshine, and enjoying the kind of simple desert magic that makes this place feel like home. 🍦☀️🌵

So obviously, I had to turn one of our favorite spots into a photoshoot! My fellow neighbor, friend, and muse Courtney joined me for a fun summer shoot filled with ice cream, desert heat, and all the retro roadside vibes. Sometimes the best locations are the places already woven into your everyday life. 🖤

🍹 Then we’re heading to the tavern for cocktail hour, where we’ll mingle with a few mysterious friends who just happen to be passing through…

👑 As night falls, you’ll be invited to our Night Court Dinner Party, followed by an evening full of bookish festivities, fantasy, photos, and absolute chaos.

⚔️ The next morning, we’ll finish our adventure with our very own sword-wielding class led by Jessi Groux! Jessi will also be available for professional hair & makeup throughout the weekend.

🗡️ Swords for our attendees will be provided by Weapon Up, so you can fully live out those fantasy-warrior dreams!

Lizzy and Jon are officially on year TWO of our annual Red Vein Haunt Halloween sessions! 🖤🎃

This year, we took inspiration from the music video “Cut” by Black Veil Brides & Lilith Czar. Andy and Lilith’s portrayal of a couple with one of them undead was such a killer concept, and it was so much fun putting our own spooky, romantic spin on it.

There’s just something about love, death, and a little Halloween horror that makes the perfect photoshoot. 💀❤️

I absolutely love when clients come back year after year and we get to make each session bigger, darker, and weirder than the last.

“Oh wow, you must have a really nice camera!”

Yep. I just bought the expensive camera and it came preloaded with 17+ years of experience, lighting skills, posing, composition, editing, creative direction, and the ability to make people look hot while I’m crouched on the floor like a little photography goblin. 😂📸

The camera is the tool. I’m the one making the magic. ✨

Maiden. Mother. Crone. 🌙✨

Not three separate women, but pieces of the same story.

The Maiden dreams.
The Mother creates.
The Crone knows.

Softness and strength. Innocence and experience. Birth, death, and rebirth. This shoot was about stepping into each archetype and celebrating the magic that comes with every season of becoming.

We are allowed to change. We are allowed to grow. And there is something beautiful waiting for us in every chapter. 🖤
