Let's end the weekend with Centered Composition.
Place your main subject in the center of your frame. Being front and center grabs the viewers attention.

For October 3rd Composition, we're talking Rules of Thirds!

Split your photo into 2 horizontal and 2 vertial lines to create a 3x3 grid. Have your main subject at one of the 4 intersections. The stop sign is where the lines cross.

Day 2 of 92: Fill the Frame
Main subject takes up the whole photo or most. No background or just a very little bit. Choose a loved one's face, your favorite dessert, bouquet of flowers, or a basket of fruits and vegetables.

Today I’m starting a 92-day photo project!📷

Each day, I’ll share one photo documenting the last 92 days of 2026.

Throughout October, I'll go over different types of Composition. Each day, my photo will show different composition technique and share how it can change the way you see and photograph everyday moments.

No complicated rules. Just everyday photographs and simple ways to think about what to include in the frame.

Day 1 of 92 starts today!!

Our second night camping in Joshua Tree was at the north end of the park, tucked near the trails and surrounded by Joshua trees. While Marty made dinner, I wandered around to experiment with long exposures and light painting. After dinner, I roped him into helping.

Mid April, I went to Pennsylvania for a long and whirlwind weekend. Barely took any photos. Barely in the fact that I took less than 140 images. (I normally take high hundreds on my trips) A majority of the photos are a couple shoot I did of my brother and sister-in-law. On my flight back to Los Angeles, I had an experience I hadn't had in years. A whole row to myself!! Being a very tall 5'1", this was amazing.
