Thankful the wife convinced me to jump in the Jeep with her and catch the sunset. It was a beautiful one for sure.

Today we honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we can live the life we are able to live. Thank you is not enough to those brave young men and women. May everyone have a safe Memorial Day today!

Well I can add a new bird to the list of birds I have found and photographed. Oddly enough I watched two of these all afternoon perched in a tree across the street. I saw them out of our window and decided I needed to see what they were. I didn’t recognize them. After some research I determined they are Mississippi Kites. A medium sized raptor that eats larger flying insects, but also small reptiles and amphibians. They are very agile in flight. These birds are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Hopefully these two hang around for awhile. Would love to photograph these more. Joplin Outdoors

I thought these turned out absolutely stunning! Congrats Lauren on your graduation and good luck on all of your future endeavors! Senior Muse
