When we started this company as an LLC it was to try to bring entertainment to LaSalle Parish. We started out with a comedy concert with Kerri Pomarolli two years ago. To the few people who came just know we loved the support. That same year we hosted a Christmas festival out at Kinley's Kottage. It was set up with vendors and kid's games and family photos. This also didn't go over as well as we had hoped.
So we moved on. Last year we started making short films. The one we made is doing festival rounds now. The movie starred two Jena High School students for the drama club and band. We also do photography through JK Photography. We offer full photo shoots for $25 and you receive all photos from the shoot. No package deals just one fee of $25 for all pictures taken.
This too has had little interest.
Since I'm a professional photographer and I love movies the short films and photography will definitely continue. In fact both of these are actually growing. I'm still looking for people to help with the films all the time. I need camera operators with their own cameras, a sound man, actors and actresses also. We are more of a no budget type of film company though so we are looking mostly for people who want to grow a portfolio or who would take a chance to get paid if the film does well.
In saying this we are here to stay even if our support is low. We will not give up on our dream of making small town Louisiana into something everyone can be proud of. If everything works out accordingly, which it might not, I'm hoping to shoot our first feature film next year.
If you would be interested in helping this film come to life I still need the help. Camera operators, sound person, and actors and actresses who want to help with this film. The script is written and ready to go.
Also funding would help. Anyone who donates will be mentioned in the credits and I'll make sure you get some extras once the film is completed and ready to go. If you donate please realize this will take time because this film will be made as professionally as possible. If you want to be a big donor then you will get producer credits and a day on set to watch the filmmaking process.
