This is Amicah. She was 17 when we created this portrait together.

What you’re looking at isn’t just a great hair and makeup day—it’s a collaboration. Her mother did her makeup and styling, and the two of them walked into the studio with a vision: bold color, big energy, and room for Amicah to just be herself.

Once the lights came on, she settled in like she had lived in front of a camera her whole life. Hands in her curls, eyes lifted, she gave me that look that says, “I know who I am, and I’m not shrinking for anyone.”

My studio is a place where people can explore that side of themselves safely—where they can see their creativity, their beauty, and their strength reflected back with honesty and respect.
