Read their story below:
At just 7 months old, our sweet Delilah was diagnosed with infant B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
While leukemia is the most common childhood cancer, a diagnosis at her age is extremely rare. Hearing those words changed our lives forever.
Delilah has already begun her fight, and her treatment plan will include both chemotherapy and immunotherapy over the next 2 1/2 years. This journey will not be easy. There will be long days, hard nights, and many unknowns—but we are taking it one step at a time.
Right now, we are traveling to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh at least once a week for outpatient treatments. In about a month and a half, Delilah will be admitted for an extended stay—at least 4 weeks—to complete the final part of this phase of her treatment. Throughout this journey, she will continue to undergo procedures like lumbar punctures and bone marrow biopsies.
Our lives have quickly become centered around hospital visits, long drives, and being by her side every moment we can. Despite everything, Delilah continues to show us strength and resilience beyond her tiny size.
As we navigate this journey, we are also facing the financial strain that comes with it—frequent travel, gas, meals, time away from work, and extended hospital stays. Because of this, a fundraiser will help ease some of that burden and allow us to focus fully on what matters most: being there for Delilah and supporting her through every step of her fight.
