The pandemic…
Seriously how many sentences have started with those two words in the last two years. The truth is that they are the best words to label where things are at.

Two years ago was quite a different world for me in business and art. My photography business all but disappeared and I, like many, locked down with the family as the tornado of COVID hit the land.
Last year I came out of the bunker to test the waters by doing some second shooting for brilliant friends who still had bookings. It was like coming back home.
This year I hope to do more of the same, but I also want to do more with my art and dive into some new uncharted waters.
One of those areas came up when a friend contacted me and informed me he changed his whole business model. Moving from only photographer to a team of associates and he and his wife running the business. I was asked to join and I’m very excited to be a part of their new adventure.

I’m still doing weddings; still doing second shooting; still looking for opportunities to stretch and create with people… but this is a welcome addition and a team I’m proud to work with.

One of the best first looks ever! Love this couple.

I know some couples like to keep it traditional and not have a first look, but I am a huge fan of them.
They are intimate, give you time to truly savor the moment, eliminate some butterflies, and give more time for photos so you can enjoy the wedding.

I am about to hit 1000 posts on IG. It might seem like a small milestone, but I am proud of the journey that has been my art. I am confident now that I'm not just taking peoples photos and clicking a button, but instead trying to get to the root and soul of a person. I'm leaning hard into my endeavor and life purpose of shining the light of truth and exposing darkness to that light. I live to show love and bleed for the opportunities to show people that they are perfectly and wonderfully made.

So I want to celebrate that with my first giveaway...
